Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee Day and Hasbro Children's Hospital

 

On May 25, 2016, Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee Day, $1 from every iced coffee sold at Dunkin’ Donuts in Providence and Southeastern Massachusetts was donated to Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Our own Steve Pitassi and Joe Hassett stopped by a Dunkin’ Donuts Providence location to lend a hand to Coach Cooley, head coach of the Providence College Friars Men’s Basketball Team. 

 

The Provide Office participated in a spaghetti fundraiser to raise money for Kendal Beffrewho was diagnosed in 2014, at the age of 10, with a rare type of cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

The Providence office hosted a celebration dinner for the Cumberland American Baseball Little League Team for their accomplishments in the Little League World Series.  It was held on October 6 at Angelo's Palace Pizza in Cumberland. Guests includes Daniel J. McKee, Mayor of Cumberland and Charles A. Lombardi, Mayor of North Providence.

The Providence Office was an exhibitor at the Rhode Island’s League's Annual Convention held on January 30, 2014. Its showcase event featured two dozen workshops and seminars for local government officials. Over 100 private companies, government agencies, and nonprofit corporations showcase their products and services, which are designed exclusively for city and town government.

SAFE SHELTER FUNDRAISER
The Providence Office was proud to be a part of a fundraiser benefitting Safe ShelterSafe Shelter is a hort-term safe, confidential shelter for women and children in danger. Residents are provided with all basic needs (meals, linens, toiletries) and take part in a program that includes education about domestic violence, parenting, and financial literacy; specialized children's services; advocacy and referrals. Transitional services are available after the initial crisis.  The hosts were Molly O'Brien and Susie Stymil from NBC10. Great job, Ladies!

JEFFREY OSBORNE CELEBRITY GOLF CLASSIC
Joe was one of a number of sports and entertainment celebrities at the Carnegie Abbey Club participating in the Second Annual Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Golf Classic.  The event, held on August 13, 2013, helped to raise money for local charitable children's organizations like the Boys and Girls clubs, Rhode Island's Philharmonic Orchestra, the Met School, Buttonhole Golf Course and The Amos House.
